Wednesday 1st June

Great Hall, One Great George Street

To mark the end of a sucessful and rewarding two-day conference FSI 2022 delegates, exhibitors and sponsors along with partners and guests will enjoy an indulgent evening of fine wine and dining in the historic and breathtaking Great Hall at One Great George Street, the headquarters of the Institution of Civil Engineers, 10 minutes away from the conference venue just the other side of Parliament Square.

Guests will attend a reception in the Smeaton room which is panelled in rich, dark French walnut and the ceilings adorned by beautifully embellished plaster and lit by a large chandelier. Guest may recognise this glorious room from scenes in the film Ghandi.

After pre dinner drinks our diners will ascend the very grand staircase before dining in the Great Hall.

The Great Hall is adorned with marbled columned walls, ornate gold leaf and embellished plaster. An oak floor complements a stunning painted ceiling and two magnificent crystal chandeliers. The painted ceiling and chandeliers were donated by a former president of the Institution of Civil Engineers as a reminder of the role the Institution and its members played during the First World War.
